Resolution

A resolution is a statement of Minnesota State College Faculty philosophy and intended goal, transitory or long term, as developed by its members and approved by the Delegate Assembly, which shall serve as a guide for the direction of its professional officers, committees, and administrative organization.

MSCF 2008 Delegate Assembly Operating Rules for Handling Resolutions

  1. No standing resolution shall be open for debate; a motion to rescind a standing resolution, however, shall be debatable and shall require a two-thirds vote for adoption.
  2. New resolutions shall be submitted on the approved form to the chair prior to presentation from the floor, or they may be submitted to the Executive Committee prior to the convening of the MSCF Delegate Assembly.
